Less than 18 months after bringing Wired Certification to London, we’re thrilled to announce that WiredScore has arrived in France, the third country into which we’ve launched.
And we’ve been busy.
14 buildings and planned projects in Greater Paris have already achieved Wired Certification, including Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Tours DUO in the 13th arrondissement, Tishman Speyer’s CBX in La Defense, and SFL’s #cloud.paris in the very heart of the city.
And with 4 million square feet of property in France committed to Wired Certification, our global total now stands at more than 350 million square feet in over 900 buildings across more than 50 cities worldwide.
As companies undergo digital transformation, in which the internet lies at the heart of most business processes, the high level of connectivity offered by buildings will increase the productivity of employees and the overall performance of the companies who will be their future tenants.
Indeed, a recent WiredScore poll indicated that, according to 48% of French managers, internet connectivity will become as important a factor in choosing workspaces by 2027 as price.
Until now though, developers, landlords and agents have had no means of articulating just how good the connectivity in their buildings is, and occupiers have been left to make critical business decisions – such as where to base their growing company – in the dark.
Wired Certification provides an industry-first benchmark for commercial property connectivity for landlords and developers, which not only helps them understand their digital infrastructure better and how well it meets the needs of their current and future tenants, but helps them market the positive investments they’ve made in digital infrastructure to sell to potential clients.
We’re delighted to enable our clients - key players in commercial real estate, both French and international - to become leaders in their field. This massive investment in the certification programme demonstrates that connectivity has become a key issue in the service sector in France and I’m confident that this trend will only continue.
We’re looking forward to forever changing the conversation around connectivity in commercial property!
