TOBY Awards 2017 recognizes Wired Certified buildings in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Austin

The TOBY® Award is presented by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and is the most prestigious and comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. The commercial real estate industry honored 15 commercial properties with TOBY Awards Ceremony at the 2017 BOMA International Conference & Expo in Nashville, TN earlier this week. We are excited to share that Wired Certified buildings in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Austin were among this year's winners!

411 East Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee took home the award in the 500,000 SF to 1,000,000 SF category, the second largest size tier recognized at the TOBY Awards after buildings over 1,000,000 SF. In 2016, 411 East Wisconsin Center became the first Wired Certified Building in Milwaukee when it achieved Platinum designation for superior connectivity infrastructure. Tenants at 411 East Wisconsin Center have access to multiple Internet Service Providers, including a selection of Fiber providers. Building management has also taken steps to ensure that aspects of redundancy are in place to prevent service interruptions.

Chicago's Wrigley Building took home the 2017 International TOBY Award for Historical Building. The Wrigley Building is also a BOMA 360 Designated property and Wired Certified Gold for best-in-class connectivity infrastructure. To qualify for the Historical Building category, buildings must be at least 50 years old with original design maintained. The building must retain its historic physical integrity; however, renovations to the original framework are acceptable and the Wrigley Building has been modernized and certified to ensure infrastructure is in place to meet the digital needs of today's business tenants.

Frost Bank Tower Winner of the Southwest Regional Outstanding Building of the Year in the 500,000 SF to 1,000,000 SF category at the Regional TOBY Awards for the Southwest earlier this year. "There is a true sense of accomplishment and awareness with the management team and service providers as we gathered all the information for our TOBY submission this year. Winning a TOBY confirms our excellence in building management which benefits the building, its owners and tenants," said Sammie Baker, Frost Bank Tower Senior Property Manager, in a press release from April. Frost Bank Tower has achieved Wired Certified Gold and LEED Gold standards, affirming that this TOBY award winner is one of Austin's most connected and sustainable high rises.

Congratulations to Riverview Realty Management, FMC Investment Opportunities, BDT Capital Partners, Zeller Realty Group, and Endeavor Real Estate Group for their accomplishments and for driving CRE innovation!
